The Firm's Foundation

Chuck Dietsche, AIA, has the eye of an artist, the mind of a scholar, and the soul of a poet. He balances his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University with an MBA from Yale to create fanciful design within realistic parameters. While his firm's work has been singled out for numerous awards--including a Metropolitan Home "Home of the Year" designation--Chuck's passion for design goes beyond architecture. A talented land-planner and furniture designer as well as accomplished architect, he sees all design as having five dimensions--the fourth being the physical experience of it, and the fifth, the emotional response it evokes.

Anna Henderson Dietsche, AIA, Chuck's partner in business and in life, is an experienced architect who now concentrates solely on designing interiors for clients of Dietsche + Dietsche Architects PC. She, too, graduated from Cornell University with a degree in architecture, and has produced notable designs for firms in Maryland, Massachusetts, Connecticut and North Carolina. Anna successfully integrates her architecture training with her interior design skills to ensure that interiors do not simply decorate, but complement and sharpen the home's singular architectural features. This approach, she explains, creates space, not just fills it. Further, because every custom home is a personal expression--with the interior being the most personal of all--Anna organizes her clients' tastes (even among owners who have contradictory styles) into a cohesive whole, infused with unexpected elements that combine to make homes that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but ultimately comfortable and welcoming.
